We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Accounting Manager to oversee all areas related to financial reporting and benefits administration.  The Accounting Manager will work closely with the Director of Finance to ensure financial statements and reports are completed in a timely and accurate manner.  This position will also develop and implement new procedures and features to enhance workflow within the finance and human resources departments.

Responsibilities:

Payroll & Benefits Administration
- Processes semi-monthly payroll and year end reporting
- Coordinates group benefit programs with Human Resources  and the Director of Finance
- Enters new hires and updates employee information

Bank, Investment, and Credit Card Accounts
- Prepares bank, investment, and credit card reconciliations

Accounts Payable
- Performs the processing and recording of accounts payable transactions to ensure all invoices are paid accurately and in a timely manner
- Provides support to vendors and staff for accounts payable inquiries

Financial Reporting
- Leads month-end closing processes, including asset and liability reconciliations and adjusting journal entries
- Prepares accounts receivable, prepayments, overtime, utilization, and backlog reports

Invoices
- Manages the processing and recording of all client invoices and ensures all receivables are collected in a timely manner

Compliance
- Preparation and filing of monthly sales, use, and occupational privilege tax returns

Other
- Responds to inquiries from the Director of Finance and Human Resources
- Ensures the firm’s financial practices are compliant with federal and state regulations
- Stays abreast of finance trends, best practices and finance or tax laws
- Participates in educational opportunities and keeps up to date with professional publications and information

Qualifications:

- Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
- 3 to 5 years’ experience as an accounting manager or supervisor
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organization, verbal and written communication skills
- Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills (particularly Excel) and ADP experience, preferred
