Job Summary:
Plans, organizes, and directs the functions of the Public Works Department including streets, storm water systems, water and wastewater systems, facility and fleet maintenance, parks, open space areas and streets. The director supervises 18 FTE and 5 part-time employees. The director serves as a member of the Town senior leadership team. Performs a variety of supervisory, technical and administrative tasks such as planning, budgeting, coordinating and directing the overall operations and activities within the Public Works Department.

Direct reports to this position: Administrative Technician, Operations Manager, Utility Manager, and
Town Engineer. Other divisions that fall under the director are parks, buildings and grounds, water, wastewater, stormwater, streets, yard waste, fleet, engineering, and open space.

Salary Range: Minimum $92,671 Mid-Point $115,839 Maximum $139,007 annually, DOQ

Experience and Education
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, public administration, construction management, public
administration or related field, and minimum ten (10) year's related experience including a minimum of years 7 year's supervisory experience supervising a staff of 18 or more; or an equivalent combination of experience and training is required. Master's degree preferred.

Special Requirements
• Must possess a valid Colorado driver license, a Class B CDL license, and a satisfactory motor vehicle record.
• Must live within thirty (45) minutes of Town of Eagle maintenance facilities within an agreed upon timeframe upon acceptance. This position requires passing of a post offer CDL drug test and a criminal background/motor vehicle check.

Minimum Qualifications experience of ten (10) year's or more managing or directing municipal public works including planning, designing, maintenance and construction, streets, traffic and utilities maintenance programs. Including progressively responsible expertise in:
• Principles related to public buildings, and capital facilities planning and development, applicable Town policies, laws and regulations affecting Department activities.
• Principles and practices of modern public administration including planning, organizing,
staffing, supervising, training and managing financial and human resources.
• Principles and practices of budgetary development, control, and administration.
• Techniques and methods of preparing designs, plans, specifications, estimates and reports for proposed municipal facilities.
• Public relations practices and techniques.
• Research methods; report writing techniques; statistical concepts and methods.
• Principles and techniques of project management.
