SUMMIT COUNTY GOVERNMENT SUMMIT COUNTY, COLORADO INVITATION TO BID Summit County Government is receiving sealed Bids to Haul Wood Chips generated from the Summit County Chipping Program. The summer 2019 project includes the following items of work: Wood chips that have been generated by the Summit County Chipping Program will be hauled from the designated collection sites in Summit County to Climax Mine on Fremont Pass. There are three (3) collection sites. Collection site locations are at the Town of Silverthorne Public Works yard on Hwy. 9 across from the Three Peaks subdivision; at the Town of Dillon Public Works yard on Hwy. 6, off Cemetery Road; at the Town of Breckenridge McCain Parcel north of Coyne Valley Road. All wood chips will be loaded by town staff, with town loaders into the contractor's haul van. All material will be driven to Climax Mine and delivered. Delivery will be documented on a "load ticket-per cubic yard" for every delivery made. Complete removal of all wood chips from the three collection sites supports beneficial use of the woody biomass and is a program objective. Eligible bidders must hold MSHA certification to be able to access Climax property. Specific information outlining the requirements is available by calling 970-668-4140 or e-mail Email Me.
