He is very loving and affectionate, beautiful nature.  He looks to be a Siberian Husky mix, maybe with Shepherd?  He was found filthy and starving, had no tag or microchip, was not neutered..  He might have had another home but if so, very neglectful owners.  We are happy to now have him as a Lucky Day dog and he has exceeded all of our expectations!  He is young, about a 1-2 years old and 60 pounds. So optimistic and sweet!  Loki is now all cleaned up, vaccinated and neutered, ready for his forever home.   This is what his foster mom says about him:   I'm so happy to have met him. He's a really special pup. He's definitely still a puppy at heart. He will need a very active home. I took him for a run with my German Shepherd, and he thought this was just the best! He bounced and ran and trotted with us and just loved it. I think all he wants to do is whatever I'm doing. I tried playing stuffed animals in the backyard, and he wasn't sure about this. His recall seems great, though he seems to have a strong prey drive, as you'd expect with a husky/shepherd mix... I love him!! ❤ I think the focused structure of running is great, and he loves it. He also loves his scratch n sniff time. He is super smart... I actually think something like agility would be great for him. He also needs a family with a sense of humor.  He hasn't shown any destructive behaviors, but I've had him out doing stuff, or he's running around in the backyard with the other pups. He LOVES going places, so for the most part, when we are all in the house, he crashes with the other pups. I think he will likely need lots of exercise/mental stimulation.  He really does love to run. I haven't tried anything off leash yet.... we are working on recall... he's very smart... I think he will go anywhere and do anything with his people. Good with other pups. I'll work on seeing how he is around cats. I'm guessing it won't be a problem if they don't run …Loki is very calm and extra sweet. He is good with other dogs and just wants a person to love.  He will reward you with all his heart!    ... ok, and one more item, not sure about super little kids... sometimes he gives you a great big bear hug.  If you tell him 'Loki off', he immediately gets off and sits in front of you. He is very friendly towards people, it's just that he is a strong pup, so if someone has a little one, I'm afraid they might get knocked over That said, he's really quite mature for an 18 month old larger breed dog. Like I said, I really love him ❤   If you would like to give this gorgeous dog a forever home, please first go to luckydayrescue.org  and fill out an adoption application.  He is currently in a foster home in Colorado Springs.  This dog will reward you with all of his heart! $200 luckydayrescue.org Colorado Springs Email Me
