Point of Diversion: The Williams Canal headgate is located 868 feet from the North section line and 1,224 feet from the West section line of the NW1/4 of the NW1/4 of Section 24, Township 5 South, Range 90 West of the 6th P.M. Source: Canyon Creek, tributary to the Colorado River. Amount: 6.0 c.f.s., conditional, for diversion during the non-irrigation season (October 1 through April 30). Date of Appropriation: April 15, 2003. Uses: Municipal, commercial, domestic, irrigation, industrial, fire protection, recreation, and piscatorial. Remarks: The Decree in Case No. 03CW72 recognized and noted that the Williams Canal New Castle Enlargement will be used to provide a non-irrigation season municipal water supply for lands located to the east of Applicant's municipal boundary, lands already included within Applicant's municipal boundary, and water contractees located outside of the municipal boundary, but within Applicant's water service area.
